A GLADSTONE taxi company is taking a zero-tolerance policy on drunken revellers.
Blue and White Taxis chairman Allan Rowe said passenger and driver safety was a top priority.
"The most important thing for us is to get people in and out of town safely," Mr Rowe said.
Mr Rowe said his company had instructed drivers not to travel through drive-throughs, which caused cab shortages in the early hours of weekend mornings.
But Mr Rowe said his company would not tolerate verbal or physical abuse of its drivers.
"Verbal abuse is just as serious as physical abuse," he said.
"We have no hesitation telling our drivers that if they are being abused, they do not have to pick up someone," Mr Rowe said.
