Young Gladstone Port City Power team will grow: Cooper

BASKETBALL: Gladstone Port City Power Central Apartment Breakers have completed the QBL season with just the sole win after dual losses to Brisbane Capitals and Logan Thunder at Kev Broome Stadium.

Following a 101-77 defeat at the hands of the Capitals on Saturday night, yesterday proved a common theme yet again where the Power played well in patches, but Thunder was too good, especially in transition.

Power's Amanda Frost (25 and 27 points in both games) led a 6-2 revival and to close to a 58-57 deficit after Frost intercepted twice for baskets and when Milomilo Nanai scored, it was game on.

But when Mikhaela Donnelly (17 points) struck a bucket for Thunder, it was never headed on its way to a 91-75 win

Frost and Nanai, who grabbed 11 rebounds to go with her 20 points against Brisbane on Saturday night, also backed it up yesterday with 12 points and nine boards
