Young Gladstone basketballers set to show off their skills

A CONTINGENT of budding basketball players will test their skills against Rockhampton and Bundaberg representative teams from November 23-24.

The Central Districts Carnival in Bundaberg will mark the Gladstone Phoenix Power's under-12 boys team first carnival for the season.

Coach Ashley Wilmot said they have been practicing for about three months.

"We've got a fair few new kids this year... all of them have potential, but there's a couple of naturals," he said.

The boys have practice sessions on Sundays and Mondays on top of their normal club training on Wednesdays and matches on Thursdays.
