Yaralla Soccer Club celebrate 40th anniversary

THIS year marks the 40th anniversary of Yaralla Soccer Club.

Junior president Fiona Boyle said the club, one of the oldest in the area, had serviced the community and developed many soccer players over that time.

"Yaralla is a club that prides itself on encouraging every player to have a go and over the years have tried to keep soccer affordable to everyone," Boyle said.

However, she said it had had some help along the way.

"Our club has been kept going with many volunteers over the years, and many of the area's valuable players have trained and played for Yaralla."

Yaralla's junior and senior clubs will hold a sign on tomorrow at Yaralla from 11am till 3pm.

All age groups from under 5 through to ladies and men's divisions.

Every junior player signing on receives a free drink and packet of chips. All new players need to bring a birth certificate, with competition training starting for juniors on Tuesday at 4.30pm at the Yaralla Oval. All welcome to come and train.

Non-competition training commences Tuesday, March 5, at 4.30pm. All inquiries to Madonna 0439796294. Our senior club has commenced training every Tuesday and Thursday at Yaralla Oval with 6.30pm kick off. Phone Rhonda 0419 471193
