Woman trampled by cattle taken to hospital by helicopter
A WOMAN trampled by cattle was transported by the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service from Theodore to Rockhampton on Sunday afternoon.
The 41-year-old patient was in a stable but very painful condition.
She was working in the paddock with a group of cattle when she fell from her quad bike.
As the woman fell to the ground a beast stomped on her left arm dislocating her shoulder.
RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Resuce Service landed on scene at the property and prior to receiving medical treatment it was uncertain whether further injuries were sustained from either the quad bike accident or being trampled by cattle.
The patient was delivered to Rockhampton Base Hospital to undergo further medical tests.
Other weekend tasks for the helicopter service included the retrieval of a 19-year-old Gladstone male on Saturday with suspected spinal injuries following a motor vehicle accident near Biloela and a trip to Woorabinda to transport a four-month-old female with breathing difficulties.
All patients were flown in a stable condition and received medical treatment in Rockhampton.
