Woman threatened in Toowoomba CBD carjacking

THREE men are wanted by police after they were involved in a carjacking in the Toowoomba CBD.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the trio approached a woman who was sitting in her car on Taylor St, about 8.30pm yesterday.

They threatened the woman and took her keys but were unable to start the vehicle.

The spokesman said the men fled the scene and a short time later found a second woman waiting in a Ruthven St carpark.

Again, the men threatened the woman.

They obtained her keys and drove off in her vehicle.

The stolen white Holden Commodore station wagon remains at large.

Police have appealed for information from the public that could help their investigation.

Anyone with details is asked to phone Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
