When cops will make arrests in bikie slaying
THE investigation into the deaths of Comanchero bikie Shane Ross and his business partner Cameron Martin is expected to be a lengthy one, with detectives trawling through a mountain of CCTV and talking to a number of potential witnesses.
It has been revealed the pair died of gunshot wounds. Martin, 47, suffered a fatal shot to the chest before crashing a white Mercedes Benz into a tree off Tallebudgera Creek Rd about 9.30pm on Friday.
A kilometre away, friend and business partner Ross, 36, was shot in the head in Martin Shiels Park.
Shell casings, believed to be from a 9mm handgun, were found in the park.
It is unknown whether Martin was shot in the park, where Ross's body was found, or if he was shot trying to flee.
Tracing the steps of those people and potential killers who Martin and Ross met up with in the park before their grisly deaths is now the focus of detectives wrapped up in Operation Romeo Masking.

Sources told the Bulletin it was now a matter of trawling through CCTV, talking to potential witnesses and speaking with friends of Ross and Martin to figure out who would have wanted to hurt the pair.
They are also still following up leads from the two people Ross and Martin met at the Pimpama Tavern two hours before their deaths on Friday night, as well as information by those who found Ross's body on Monday afternoon in the tall grass of the Burleigh Heads park.
It is still unclear if the deaths have further links to bikies or other underworld figures, other than Ross being a member of the Comanchero.
Detective Superintendent Kerry Johnson said on Wednesday that detectives were investigating why there had not been a reprisal attack.
"We're not seeing any reprisals, any attacks, that's not the case, that's not happening.
"Why that is, well that's part of what we're trying to investigate and see the bigger picture and broader picture of what has gone on here."
