Wet weather doesn't halt Kin Kora intersection construction

THE recent wet weather has not delayed the Kin Kora roundabout project, which is on track to be completed by mid-2016.

Works will continue at the Kin Kora interchange upgrade during the next two weeks, with the construction of footpaths and the new Philip Street bus stops.

Further works to be completed include final asphalt layers, concrete traffic islands, linemarking and installation of road signs.

The funding allocation is $25.2 million.

"This transition will be a busy time for the project team as they remove the existing roundabout and introduce the signalised intersection.
