WATCH/LISTEN: BITS make road kill of Rocky Brothers

AUSSIE RULES: Best-on-ground Ky Hull and Sam Pierpoint both kicked five goals in BITS Saints' emphatic 21.14 (140) to Rockhampton Brothers 4.4 (28) win at BITS Oval.

It was by far the Saints' best four-quarter game of the year as the men from Boyne Island prepare for the trip north this weekend to face the brilliant Yeppoon Swans.

After a competitive first quarter, the Saints marched on in the second quarter with a 8.2 term and to effectively nail the game at half time and lead by 57 points.

It was more of the same under the bright BITS lights as the Rocky side were easy road kill.

BITS ran in waves with Danny Conway the linkman, Sam Schofield and fellow ex-Muddies midfielder Dan Clay powerful driving forces around the stoppages.

Thaiday Reuben showed dash with his new club after he also transferred across from Gladstone Mudcrabs.

Playing-coach Jake Mostert said it was a complete team effort and a vast improvement from when the two teams met in round one.

"We have been working at training to lower the eyes and picking apart the defence," he said.

Big Brendan Clarke (four goals) also feasted on the clean forward entries sourced from a dominant midfield led by ruckman Jacob Mills.

"I thought our ball movement was short and sharp, 20 to 25-metres and we hit targets as well," Mostert said.
