Waste collection and facilities return to normal operations

GLADSTONE Regional Council waste transfer stations and collections are returning to normal operations as Council finalises its waste services clean up contribution.

Gladstone Mayor Gail Sellers said contractors made their last extra trip to the Baffle Creek facility at the weekend to remove stockpiled flood damaged household material.

"This marked the scaling down of waste clean up services and the return to regular Council waste services operations," Cr Sellers said.

"Across the region extended collections and services during the clean up process were essential but regular collections and regional transfer station operations will now resume as the volume of waste reduces."
