Viagra tablet fell out of man's wallet at watch-house

TOO much to drink and a little blue pill landed a Gladstone man with a $400 fine on Tuesday.

Steven Kieran O'Shaughnessy appeared in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on charges of being drunk in a public place and unlawful possession of controlled drugs.

The court heard police were conducting patrols in the Gladstone CBD on December 14 when they encountered the defendant.

Police prosecutor Mick O'Rourke told the court that when the defendant failed to go home, he was arrested and placed in the watch-house "for his own safety".

The court heard that while at the watch-house, a single blue Viagra tablet fell out of the defendant's wallet and onto the counter.
