Police on the trail of man who twice evaded officers

GLADSTONE police are on the lookout for a driver who twice evaded officers on Wednesday.

The driver was spotted in an unregistered white Holden Commodore at 4.45am near Auckland and Tank St, then again at 5am near Glen Lyon Rd and Dixon Drive.

In other police news, a 37-year-old man will face court on March 24 after being charged with high end speeding and unlicensed driving.

The man was caught by police on the Gladstone-Mt Larcom Rd near the Callemondah intersection, travelling at more than 40km over the speed limit at 4.50pm on Thursday.

Police also charged a 34-year-old man with unlicensed driving at the corner of J Hickey Ave and Col Brown Ave, Clinton at 11.55am on Thursday.

And a 45-year-old woman has been charged with high range drink driving after police conducted a breath test on Roberts St just after midnight on Friday.

The woman allegedly blew 0.156. Her licence has been suspended until a court appearance on March 24.
