Investigation underway as WICET truck loses its load
WORKERS at Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal spent several hours cleaning up on Wednesday, after a truck's trailer flipped at 11.15am on the old Gladstone-Mt Larcom Rd.
WICET is investigating the accident after the back trailer spilt a full load of spoil, bound for the WICET project.
Workers from engineering contractor BMD raced to the scene.
Traffic was not affected, and a heavy recovery vehicle righted the truck by about 4pm.
A spokeswoman for the $3 billion WICET project said an internal investigation was underway.
