INXSIVE perform Original Sin on Quoin Island

Good times roll as tribute band rocks Quoin Island

QUOIN Island Retreat was brimming with good party vibes on Saturday night, event manager Richard Gilmour said.

INXS tribute band INXSIVE rocked out Australian classics to a crowd of 170 people at one-off event Good Times on Q.

"The INXSIVE band were fantastic," Mr Gilmour said.

The band has been touring Australia since 1997, offering fans the chance to re-live the glory days.

Local artists Nathan Bedford and Alex Matheson-Brown also had the crowd's seal of approval, being asked for an encore set at the end of the night after kick-starting the show at 5pm.

With the wind picking up on Saturday, the event was moved indoors and Mr Gilmour said attendees were impressed by the space and two stages set up.

It's a jam-packed year for the retreat, with the business opening on a full-time basis for accommodation from April 1 - welcome news for locals wanting a quick getaway.

"We're really ramping up with lots of fun and exciting events for the year," Mr Gilmour said.

The next event on the cards for Quoin Island Retreat is Seniors on Q.

It is being well-received by patrons, with 75% of tickets already sold.

An event targeted at the 50-plus market, the package for March 20 includes a short harbour cruise, two-course lunch buffet, access to, and a private tour of, the island's facilities.
