Traffic backed up heading into Kin Kora intersection

UPDATE 3.30pm:

GLADSTONE Police have had to return to the Kin Kora intersection this afternoon to direct traffic.

The traffic lights were stuck on red causing a big delay for motorists passing through the lights.

The lights were fixed but police were still hanging around the intersection just in case the lights stopped working again.

EARLIER 3.15pm:

THE Kin Kora roundabout upgrade to a four-way signalised intersection to address traffic congestion has had a shaky start with it taking more than ten minutes to get through today.

Traffic was blocked up along the Dawson Hwy half-way back to Penda Ave just before 3pm with traffic creeping through to the intersection.

This comes a day after motorists were treated to an energetic performance from Constable Dominic McGee as they went through the lights over the weekend.

Cst McGee was bored while he was traffic controlling for his two seven hour shifts and hammed up his directions.
