Touch teams finals washed away
TOUCH FOOTBALL: Chanel College Touch Football teams had their chances to excel washed away at the 2018 Queensland All Schools competition.
The washed out finals was a mixed blessing with much needed rain for the region but causing abandonment of play.
Captain coach of the boys team Tallis Stanhope said the boys and girls teams were going well until the heavens opened up.
"It was a disappointing finish to the competition with the boys doing well with one of the best teams there," Stanhope said.
"In the pool games we had three wins and loss and even had Australian assistant touch coach tell us how impressed he was with our play."
The girls touch team had three wins and two losses and had any finals prospects dashed when the fields were deemed to unfit to play on.
