Thundamentals to play at Harvey Road Tavern tonight
RAP crew Thundamentals will play in Gladstone on Wednesday night as part of their Elephant in the Room tour.
The Sydney-via-Blue Mountains group put the demand for their show down to their good vibes, solidified by their official appointment as Welcome to Australia ambassadors, a significant marker in the crew's message of inclusiveness and storytelling.
MC Tuka in April said the crew strove for equality in their songs, but stayed away from preaching.
"I'm conscious of not having a label," he said. "Life's more complex than that."
The crew played four years of gigs before recording their first song, but since that moment they've done a lot of touring and love their live audience.
Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the door.
Thundamentals have designed a special edition 'Got Love' band shirt, with 100% of proceeds going to The Asylum Seeker Centre. You can pick one up at the gig.
Doors open at 7.30pm.
