Teenager airlifted off Fraser Island after falling ill
A TEENAGE boy has been airlifted off Fraser Island.
The 16-year-old is understood to have been holidaying on the island with his family from Central Queensland when he fell ill.
A statement from RACQ Careflight said the boy was suffering from a medical condition.
The crew were called to the island to assist the teenager about 6.45am on Tuesday morning.
The boy was airlifted from Cathedral Beach with his mother at his side.
He was flown to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
