Teen injured after a fall down the Toowoomba Range

A MALE teenager is recovering after he tumbled down the Toowoomba Range after a mountain bike accident.

Paramedics were called to MacKenzie's Frenzy DH Trail mountain bike track at Jubilee park, about 4.30pm Tuesday.

They located the teen about 4km from the corner of Mackenzie St and Harvey St, but the area was inaccessible for a conventional Queensland Ambulance Service van.

Instead paramedics used a specialist 4WD unit.

They recovered the teenager by about 6pm and transported him in a stable condition to the Toowoomba Hospital.

He sustained neck, shoulder and chest injuries.
