Tannum loss extends Brothers lead
BROTHERS A-Grade side has all but wrapped up the minor premiership for the Gladstone Rugby League season, Valleys helping the team do so by defeating Tannum Sands Seagulls.
The Seagulls were close enough to continue to pressure Brothers heading into the weekend, only three points behind.
But now Brothers hold a five point advantage at the top with three weeks to go in the competition.
Two points are awards for each win, meaning Brothers need just one more to claim the minor premiership.
Valleys centre Shade Heta helped down to Seagulls, scoring three tries in the 28-18 win.
Emiel Tea also scored two tries, with Luke Marsh kicking four goals in the win.
