Pleasant weekend weather set to turn into cloudy days

DESPITE a few scattered showers, the weather remained pleasant overall for community events across the Gladstone region at the weekend.

The sun shone brilliantly on the Ubobo Bush Festival, while light drizzle at Baffle Creek didn't hurt residents in the raft race who were already getting wet.

Weekend temperatures topped 24 degrees with light to moderate east to south-easterly breezes.

Winter weather will start to set in throughout Gladstone this week with forecasts of cloudy skies and showers over the next few days.

Tops of about 23 degrees across the region should be expected.

But the sun is expected to be back in full force by the end of the weekend.
