Story of missing pet being found provides hope for all
PEOPLE will go to extreme lengths to find their missing pets, but I think my sister Rachele surely takes the cake.
It's been about a year since our family cat Gary went missing. And while I couldn't do much from Gladstone, Rach truly went above and beyond to try and find him in Sydney.
Not only did she hand deliver more than 1500 flyers to homes, doorknock hundreds of houses, pay for advertisements and set up a Facebook page but she also consulted numerous pet psychics, hired a pet detective and even lit up the drains leading home in case he was stuck down there.
My family still believes Gary was stolen from us; after all he was a pretty good-looking cat.
Unlike Gary, the story of Pepper the blue staffy has a happy ending.
It only took nine days for Pepper to be reunited with her family.
I'm sure there are many people in the Gladstone region who don't have answers about what has happened to their missing pets.
But it's stories like Pepper's that give us hope they aren't lost forever.
