Southertons give Christmas hamper

THE Salvation Army was given a special Christmas gift yesterday afternoon when Southertons, Gladstone donated a Hamper as part of the Adopt-a-family Christmas appeal.

The Hamper was filled with Christmas goodies and gifts to make a memorable Christmas for a family in need this festive season.

This is the third year Southertons has donated to the Adopt-a-Family appeal and Tina Zawila from Southertons said it was a great way to give back.

“The team heard about the program about three years ago and decided to take part as a way of giving back to the community and helping local families enjoy the spirit of Christmas,” Ms Zawila said.

“Adopting a family also adds festive cheer to our office with everyone in the office getting involved and taking part. We want to make a real difference by helping local families celebrate this season.”

There are still a few families up for adoption and to help change the lives of a struggling family this Christmas phone 49726878 for the Salvation Army and 49701600 for Lifeline.
