Singing the praises of the Pink Ribbon campaign

KATIE Noonan will gather some of Australia's finest musical women this month for the return of the Songs That Made Me.

After a successful tour last year, this year's series will be more in-depth, with a full-length album bringing together Australia's best female talents, all in support of the Cancer Council's Pink Ribbon campaign.

Set to coincide with the Cancer Council's Emeralds and Ivy Ball, Songs That Made Me will be released on October 10.

The project will showcase 14 musical women who are passionate about supporting the Pink Ribbon Campaign, including Renee Geyer, Deborah Conway, Mia Dyson, Angie Hart, Sam Buckingham, Stonefield, Melody Pool, Sahara Beck, Katie Noonan and more.

Each musician has selected a track of personal significance.

"Sadly, cancer has touched all of us in some way and I've recently experienced first-hand, through the illness of a family member, the amazing benefits that quality nursing care and support can bring," Noonan said.

Noonan, Angie Hart, Melody Pool and Sam Buckingham will hit the road later this month and throughout November for the Songs That Made Me tour.

The Cancer Council's Pink Ribbon campaign raises funds and awareness for women affected by breast and gynecological cancers. For more details, visit
