Saints set to mark semi-final win

AFLW: BITS Saints women have a tough task ahead of them this Saturday as they take on Glenmore Women in the preliminary semi-final match.

Saints coach Ben Fletcher strongly believes the team is up to the task despite the squad being hampered with injuries.

"If the ladies play their best football then they should win," Fletcher said.

"I'm very happy with the season but injuries have really hurt the squad and it's good we have the depth of players we do. Glenmore have beaten us twice and we have beaten them once and there isn't much between the two teams."

With the possibility of a home grand final, Saints will have an added incentive to step up and come home with a win.

"It would be great to play in a home grand final against Panthers and the ladies can win it if they want it bad enough," Fletcher said.

The game kicks off at Stenlake Park, North Rockhampton at 2.15pm.
