Baffle Creek shows community spirit at flood recovery party
BAFFLE CREEK residents celebrated the strength of their community spirit by throwing a flood recovery party at the weekend.
More than 100 people gathered as a gesture of thanks to one another for their ongoing support since the Australia Day floods.
Twilight markets kicked things off in the afternoon before live entertainment, a barbecue, raffles and give-aways got the party started.
Vice president of the Baffle Creek Sport and Recreation Club Tracee Freebody said it was great to see flood-affected families "out and about" and back in the community.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Bendigo Bank Discovery Coast Flood Appeal.
