Rescue helicopter called to retrieve two patients

AT 2.30pm on Tuesday RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue (Rescue 300) was tasked to retrieve two patients from Thangool, who had presented to Biloela Hospital that day.

The first patient was a 41-year-old male who had suffered a deep laceration to his left arm following an accident at work.

The man was working at the abattoir when a beast hit the arm he was using to hold a knife, causing him to cut his other arm.

He was flown to Rockhampton for further treatment and surgical consultation.

The second patient was a 61-year-old male who was suffering from suspected post surgical complications following a procedure that he had had done some days prior.

He was brought to Rockhampton for further treatment and possible surgery.

Both men were treated and assessed by the onboard QAS ICP and flown to Rockhampton in a stable condition..
