Quarter of all planes flew late out of Gladstone in June

GLADSTONE frequent flyers have suffered through another frustrating month of delays and cancellations.

More than a quarter of planes were late flying out of Gladstone in June, while just under a quarter arrived late, according to new Federal Government figures.

The Department of Transport report also found a spike in cancelled flights for the month, with 2.5% of Brisbane flights intended for Gladstone never leaving the ground.

And passengers from Gladstone had their patience tested with 2.6% of flights cancelled.

Qantas was the worst offender, cancelling 3.7% of all flights in and out of Gladstone.

The latest figures dashed the hopes of those who thought our record might be improving - in April, Gladstone ranked in the top 10 best locations for on-time plane arrivals.
