Gladstone MP scores spot on infrastructure committee

GLADSTONE MP Glenn Butcher was yesterday selected to serve on the Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources State Parliamentary Committee.

Central Queensland is well represented on the committee with Mirani Member Jimmy Pearce elected as chair and Keppel Member Brittany Lauga also selected.

Being on the committee means members will be responsible for researching any proposed legislation and reporting back to the relevant minister.

"It's a good learning ground for a new politician and good starting point to understand implications of new laws," Mr Butcher said.
