Bundle of pups looking for loving homes

THERE are puppy paws galore at the Gladstone RSPCA.

This bundle of eight-week-old kelpie bull Arabs are keeping local animal welfare advocates busy.

The seven little cuties will be ready to go to new homes on Friday.

But be warned - they're going to grow into big, strong hounds.

Friends of RSPCA Gladstone president Judy Whicker said the puppies, along with their parents, were surrendered to the organisation.

She said four of the pups' siblings were sold before the others arrived at the shelter.

"At this stage two of the pups are not real well and will need to stay with us for a few extra days until we nurse them back to good health," Mrs Whicker said.

Potential owners should consider how big the dogs will grow, she said.

"They are going to be big dogs and will need regular exercise and basic training," Mrs Whicker said.

"(We'd like) to have these babies go to loving family homes preferably with kids that will be able to spend time with them and play and exercise them."
