Psychology professor to speak about spooks at seminar

CQUniversity Head of Psychology, Associate Professor George Stuart, will give a public lecture, The Science of Ghosts, at the university's open day on August 11.

"The idea is to talk about various psychological phenomena that can contribute to people believing they've had some kind of supernatural encounter," he said.

Assoc Prof Stuart said despite a fascination with ghosts stemming from his childhood, he did not believe they existed.

"To be honest, I'd like to but, looking at the evidence, I don't really see anything that supports it," he said.
