Pregnant woman may have been stranded in ute for 24 hours
THE AGL Action Rescue Helicopter is searching for a pregnant woman believed to be stuck in floodwaters west of Maryborough.
At 3pm on Tuesday, a spokeswoman said the woman was believed to have been stranded in a ute for the past 24 hours at Doongul in Maryborough West.
It has been a busy time for the rescue chopper crew with many rescues performed around the region.
On Monday, the crew ferried a family of seven to safety from their Tiaro property which was fast filling up with floodwater.
The family, including a one-week-old baby and an elderly woman, piled into the family's ute and drove to higher ground where they were rescued.
Also, a family of three was rescued from the roof of their house at Mungar.
The mother and baby were winched together using a rescue basket while dad was secured in a strop.
