Three people in custody after drug raids on Gladstone homes
UPDATE: Gladstone detectives have dealt another blow to the local drug trade, as raids were carried out on several addresses.
Detectives from Gladstone and Rockhampton were involved in the raid teams, which were part of Operation Immerse.
They executed search warrants and two clandestine drug labs were uncovered early Thursday.
The labs were uncovered in homes on Dalrymple Dr and Carter St, Gladstone, and three people were arrested and taken into custody.
A 40-year-old man, 38-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were taken to Gladstone Police Station, where they were assisting detectives with their investigations.
Officer-in-charge of Gladstone CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey said a number of items of interest had been located during the raids, which the Gladstone dog squad also attended.
Det Snr Sgt Peachey said both properties were declared crime scenes, with police waiting for the Illicit Drug Squad to arrive from Brisbane to process the scenes.
"Nothing has been seized at this stage but police have located a number of items of interest, which we believe were used in the manufacture of dangerous drugs, namely methylamphetamine," he said.
Searches on Thursday also uncovered various amounts of cannabis, methylamphetamine and amphetamines.
Wednesday 12.45pm: Gladstone detectives have raided two houses this morning, locating two clandestine drug labs.
A home in Carter St and another in Dalrymple Dr were targeted in the operation, with arrests being made.
Police located the two drug labs as part of Operation Immerse.
Three people are assisting police with their enquiries and crime scenes have been established at the two houses.
Specialist police will make further investigations.
