Pilot airlifted to hospital after gyrocopter crash
THE pilot of a gyrocopter has been airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital after it crashed at Dakenba near Biloela this afternoon.
Around 5pm, it is believed the gyrocopter clipped a power line and crashed into a field near Dudarkos Road.
The 30-year-old male pilot was initially transported to Biloela Hospital, but has since been airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit has been advised of the incident and is investigating.
The QPS has also notified relevant federal aviation authorities.
