BASKETBALL: Reigning premiers Blue Devils made it a second straight win against previously undefeated Port City Power Youth Team.

The latter had Power QSL import Brandon Lucas in the side and the forward showed some great signs.

However former Power great Daniel Green wound back the clock for Blue Devils.

His mid-range shots were a treat and his brothers Matt and Tarron played valuable roles for the Blue side.

PCP was well led by Josh Melaney and Lucas.

In the earlier game, Devils White edged out Red Devils in a close game after the White side had lost speedster Stephen De Bruyn who was fouled out late in the game.

Devils White had built a lead and that was enough to stop a fast-finishing Red Devils. White's Jimmy Lamkin was a presence inside the paint and with his smarts while best for Red Devils was the athletic Izaac Sealy.

In the women's competition, Lions have made it 3-0 after a 47-27 win against Devilicious Black and 2019 back-to-back grand final winners Devilicious Red returned to the winner's list with a 58-30 result against bottom side and winless Turbos.

Power Puffs improved its record to 2-1 with a win against last week's giant-killers KJP Kixx 48-26.

Lions Fury put up a massive score against new team Tropix.

Cameron and Cooper Rhodes complete the family ties.
