PCYC markets change date for October

THE Gladstone PCYC markets originally scheduled for October 12 won't be held that weekend, but there will be a twilight market the following weekend.

The markets returned in July, and have been held on the second Sunday of each month.

However, because of unforseen circumstances, they're unable to be held on that date in October.

Instead, there will be a twilight market on October 18 from 2-6pm with more than 60 stalls.

Earlier this month, PCYC assistant branch Constable Ken Avery said the markets' growth in popularity had caught the organisation by surprise.

"These are our third markets and today we've expanded outside for the first time," she said.

"Our plans are to keep expanding, we still have heaps of room outside.

''These markets are also a great opportunity for the public to see what the PCYC does."
