Agent celebrates 25-year milestone with Ray White
GLADSTONE Ray White director John Fieldus has only had two jobs since leaving Year 12 - one of them is his current job as a property manager.
The property management and leasing professional has been passionate about working in real estate since he left school and now celebrates a 25-year-milestone with the local agency.
Mr Fieldus said real estate is all he has ever known.
"I consider myself extremely fortunate," he said.
"I never had any aspirations to go on to university or pursue anything.
"I fell into something that I got very lucky on."
Mr Fieldus started his long-term career in Rainbow Beach.
After finishing school on the Sunshine Coast, he began his job immediately and continued at the husband and wife agency for four years.
Mr Fieldus loved the coastal location and continued to learn and grow in the property field.\
The best thing is finding people their homes - whether selling or renting.
But when the opportunity came to try a gig out in Gladstone he couldn't refuse.
Since those early years Mr Fieldus met his wife and now has two daughters aged 16 and 11.
Mr Fieldus has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the local property market.
But the real key to his success is people.
"It's an opportunity to meet people.
"At the moment we're meeting people from all over the world," he said.
"The best thing is finding people their homes - whether selling or renting."
To sum up his 25 years Mr Fieldus had nothing but praise for his position and company.
"I have loved it inside out. I love the town here and I think I know it inside out.
"The houses get boring but the people keep it real and exciting."
