Paradise, all in a day’s work for LARC Tours owner
LARC Tours owner Neil Mergard reckons he's got the Best Job in Town - and look where it is?
LARC Environmental Tours runs out of the 1770 Marina and takes in the beautiful Round Hill estuary, Bustard Bay and the beaches and creeks of the Eurimbula National Park on the way up to the Bustard Head Lighthouse.
Neil and his team take full day tours up to the lighthouse or twilight LARCabouts out on Bustard Bay where visitors get to experience the pristine waterways, an abundance of native flora and fauna plus a bit of history of Seventeen Seventy and The Discovery Coast.
"Mate, it's just great to share all this with visitors to our great little piece of paradise,'' Neil said.
"We've got two of the nicest national parks right next to each other and two beautiful little towns (Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy) in between.
"And of course the Great Barrier Reef is just out there - one of the natural wonders of the world.
"Why wouldn't you love it?''
If you reckon you've got a job nearly as good as Neil's then you could be in the running to win a $1000 Flight Centre voucher with The Gladstone Observer.
