Motorists warned of delays as council resurfaces roads

MOTORISTS using Harvey Rd and French St in Gladstone should expect delays and possible detours this week when Gladstone Regional Council does essential resurfacing works.

The works are planned for Tuesday on Harvey Rd and from Wednesday to Friday on French St, between 6.30pm and 4.30am.

Weather permitting, the road resurfacing works on French St will occur from the intersection of Agnes St to Philip St.

The Harvey Rd works will be in front of Clinton State School.

The $2.75million program of asphalt resurfacing works are scheduled to be finalised within the fortnight, with $5 million of the 2013-14 Budget works set to begin in coming months.

More works are planned at various locations in the New Auckland area.
