IT'S been a steamy couple of days in the Gladstone and it's set to continue through to the end of the week.
Rockhampton Bureau of Meteorology technical officer Brendan Bradford said there were more hot and humid nights ahead.
"We've been seeing high temperatures due to northerly winds bringing humid air down the coast," Mr Bradford said.
"This is what's causing the above average temperatures."
Mr Bradford said showers and storms were forecast for the next couple of days.
Despite this, there will be no end to the humid conditions.
"The showers will become more isolated towards the end of the week," Mr Bradford said.
"At this stage, it's looking like a cool change will come through over the weekend."
