Workshop aims to put new filmmakers in the picture

BUDDING filmmakers of the Gladstone Region have the chance to develop new skills during the Gladstone Arts Council's new media workshops next week.

Local artists Natisha Strudwick and Felicia Lloyd of Conspire Isis Theatre Ensemble will lead the free workshop opportunities.

They have invited all participants to bring along their filming device, fully charged and ready to go.

The chance to develop the artform at a local level is ever-present as new media artist tools become more accessible.

Supported by the Gladstone Region Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) and held at the Gallery and Museum, the workshops will include filmmaking basics such as script writing, sound and editing skills.

All are encouraged to book their place early, in either the Junior Workshop for primary school ages or the Senior Workshop for secondary school ages and over, places are limited.

The workshops are held on May 13, 14 and 16.
