Man 'wielded metal bar' in alleged assault at Clifton home
POLICE will allege a 38-year-old man from Cambooya used a metal jimmy bar to threaten another man during a hostile interaction at Clifton yesterday.
Police were called to the disturbance about 2.45pm and arrested a 38-year-old man.
He was taken to Warwick Police Station and charged with one count of common assault.
Clifton Police said the accused did not physically harm the other man, but threatened him with the metal bar.
The 38-year-old man was later released on bail and is due to appear at the Warwick Magistrates Court on June 5.
TWO kayaks discovered by Goondiwindi Police yesterday afternoon were found to be stolen after inquiries were made.
One of the kayaks found on Russell St has been returned but the owner of the second kayak is yet to be identified.
Police charged an adult man from Goondiwindi with one count of theft about 2pm yesterday.
He will appear at the Goondiwinidi Magistrates Court at a later date.
TWO boys under the age of 14 have been charged with theft after they allegedly stole money and tobacco from a home in Goondiwindi between April 20 and April 21.
The boys will appear at the Goondiwindi Children's Court after they were charged with burglary about midday yesterday.
