Man flown from Fraser after falling off boogie-board tow
RACQ CareFlight Rescue's Bundaberg helicopter has flown to Orchid Beach on Fraser Island to airlift a man in his 20s who was injured in an incident involving a four-wheel drive.
The man was on a boogie board and being towed by the vehicle along the beach in shallow water on Thursday afternoon when he fell from the board.
He suffered a suspected fracture to his right leg.
The man is from Brisbane and was holidaying on the island at the time.
He was flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
It's the second time in two days the rescue service has flown to Fraser Island.
On Wednesday the helicopter landed on Orchid Beach to airlift a 30-year-old man who cut his foot while fishing.
He was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
