The 10-stage event which starts from 6pm on the Friday will be action-packed according to organiser Anthony Dow.

"It will still be a massive event and this year it's going to be a hard one again," he said.

To date, there are 48 nominated trucks and Dow said nominations are open right until and including the weekend of the race.

Recent rain has settled the track dust and Dow said more rain is welcome.

"It's good and there's a bit of mud there and more mud will make it better...better for the spectators," he said.

Apart from the competitive spirit from the drivers, the event is also for a great cause and profits raised from last year's event went to charity and it will be the same again this year.

"We started the event in 2010 and from there we just keep that sort of money every year and everything else we donate," Dow said.

"We donate the money out and keep enough to run it (event) each year."

There will be a couple cliffs for drivers to test their winching skills and Dow said work will be done to clear certain areas this weekend.

CAMPING and excellent vantage points are available and location is at Clarky's Petrolhead Paradise, 604 Clarks Road, Lowmead.
