LNP intent on shifting funds from bureaucrats to hospitals
THE AUSTRALIAN Liberal Party is intent on improving Gladstone Hospital's services by removing money and bureaucrats from Canberra into regional hospitals, according to Shadow Minister for Health and Ageing Peter Dutton.
"Hospitals like Gladstone keep regions going, particularly in central Queensland," Mr Dutton said.
"There are a record number of people coming through the emergency departments, and if the coalition is elected in September I want to take money away from bureaucrats in Canberra and put it in hospitals like this."
He said that by shifting the funds the coalition would be able to deliver more services to Gladstone to enable a better outcome for patients and hospital staff.
