League fan celebrates 9th birthday with NRL superstars
NOAH Allsop woke up on his ninth birthday yesterday not sure of what might be awaiting him as a present.
It turned out three ex-NRL players was what he was getting.
Noah was booked in to go to the Calliope Junior Rugby League Development Day where Petero Civoniceva, David Peachey and PJ Marsh were coaching, something he had no idea about until the morning it was on.
"I immediately thought it would be so cool and fun," he said.
"And it was so awesome."
If the coaching session with the three superstars was not enough, Noah got to meet all of them later.
Wishing him a happy birthday, the nine-year-old was in his element. He is now keen to follow in their footsteps and become a star himself.
"I would love to play NRL one day," he said.
"My favourite player still playing is Sam Thaiday and all of the Broncos."
PJ March said it was not out of the young player's reach, Noah having the skills after starting last year for Brothers.
The former origin player ran many drills which he performed as an NRL player.
"We do the same things at NRL level that he has done here," Marsh said.
Noah had a favourite drill which showed off his quick footwork.
"I loved the dog and bone drill and liked all the coaches," he said.
