Kitten injured when car starting interrupts warm sleep
LITTLE Nikki Noo has had a tough few weeks.
The domestic short hair cross cat was found by a Gladstone local, who passed her on to the Friends of RSPCA.
It's believed the kitten had crawled in a car engine to keep warm and has copped some serious injuries from the fanbelt when the car has been started up.
She has lost half of her left ear and the toes on one of her back legs.
Friends of RSPCA cat coordinator Anita Coad said she would need to have her whole back leg amputated as soon as possible.
"We have had people donating money towards the operation, which will be a big help," she said.
