Kin Kora roundabout going, signalisation begins tomorrow
FRIDAY represents a significant milestone in the Kin Kora intersection upgrade.
The roundabout has been removed and tomorrow the intersection will begin its transition to traffic light signalisation.
The project will upgrade the Kin Kora roundabout at the intersection of the Dawson Highway and Philip Street in Gladstone to a fully signalised intersection.
The upgrade will improve safety and traffic flow for approximately 45,000 vehicles that use the intersection daily, including heavy vehicles.
Federal member for Flynn Ken O'Dowd will be there to officiate the key moment with representatives from the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-2016.
