Singer Jack jumping with excitement over Boomtown role
REHEARSALS for Boomtown are ramping up and the town's "Jumpin' Jack" is jumping with excitement for the big day.
"I'm absolutely loving it," Jack Viljoen said.
"I perform around town a fair bit but I've never done acting."
The tradie, 42, lives on a wildlife sanctuary in the Boyne Valley where he enjoys the country comforts of the Gladstone region.
Jack loves music and you may have seen the South African national, guitar in hand, crooning away at a local pub.
It's this experience that has prepared him for his role in the production.
"In Boomtown I guide George, the leading man, through the process of getting to grips with the changes," Jack said.
"I've got two songs. One is Jumpin' Jack, which introduces my character.
"In another one I get to seduce a young lady so I get to sing to her," Jack said.
