Woman steals seven packets of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards from Coles
IT wasn't the first time Amanda Ellen Pershouse had appeared in court for stealing, and Tuesday's appearance in the Gladstone Magistrates Court earned the 27-year-old probation for 18 months.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Shane Raison told the court Pershouse had been caught soon after she left Coles in Gladstone and police found seven packets of Yu-Gi-Oh! game cards, some cosmetics which were still in their packaging and a bottle of drink.
Sgt Raison told the court Pershouse was already on a suspended sentence from offences in 2014 when the theft took place.
Magistrate Jeffrey Clarke suggested that the theft was "totally unsophisticated, and it was compounded by the fact that you had almost finished your suspended sentence".
